Assembly Required

A lot of the required assembly could be done already at the manufacturer. Not that it was difficult. just tedious. The assemble app worked well.

Almost Great

an access hole to attach auger side to the smoker itself the bottom screws are super hard to tighten/ reach and I have Small hands.

So Simple.

So simple to put together. It’s really a one man job. If you take your time and follow the instructions you can not go wrong.

Awesome Install Instructions!!

This visual was VERY helpful!! Thank you!! Install was much easier with numbered parts and the 3D instuctions added. Two hours to set up with 2 people. Can't wait to fire her up!!

Nice Smoker - One Issue But Cc Resolved.

This smoker seems great and assembled easily. When I did my initial burn though the controller screen went black and I couldn't resolve. Called camp chef and they quickly sent a replacement controller. Easy install and now works great

Good Grill

Good capacity and great heat retention (holds temp better than me stove).

Wifi Inoperable. Overpriced For Lack Of Features

Purchased about a month ago and got the WIF to connect on the first cook and it has never reconnected. The companion app is completely useless without wifi connectivity, making this smoker far over priced for its lack of functionality. Advertising it as a Wifi pellet grill is maliciously misleading.

Sturdy Construction And Easy To Assemble

Following the 3D tutorial made assembly such a breeze. Quality SS parts, and solid overall design. This will be the first of many Camp Chef products for me, my family, as well as my smokehouse restaurant.

It took me longer than I expected to assemble it but, everything was clearly labeled. Also the online instructions were very helpful.36

Does The Job

This is a decent grill and puts really good smoke on anything you cook. The smoke box is the best part of it. It is fairly well built and I have had this over a year. I enjoy the ease of use. It is fairly easy to clean with one caveat I will list below. The stainless exterior has held up really well and I cook with it all the time. The 36 inch model has enough room to do 6 pork shoulders at 9 lbs each. Now the issues. First, the box looks like it has been through a war zone when you get it. Many others have lamented this. It really needs better packaging. Second, it gets really bad buildup where the lid touches the seal. Warm water and soap does not take it off. It becomes like sticky epoxy. This is within the span of one long cook. The seal already needs replacement but that is a moot point until I can figure out how to take this gunk off without damaging it.If you do short cooks you may not see this problem. I do a lot of cooks on it in excess of 14 hours. Would I buy it again, yes. I will eventually figure out a way to get the tar off it. Then I will likely look for a better seal. The tar formed because the seal is not tight.
