Rated 3 out of 5 by from price confusion Product is as advertised. Found item on Dick's website for $3.99. Went in store and was marked at $9.99. Went back home and ordered online for in store pick up for $3.99 then had to go back to store a day later after email confirmation. If this is what has to happen every time I want to make a purchase at Dicks I doubt I'll be doing much business with you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought it for my canoe Picked up two of these for my old town canoe. I wasn't sure if they would fit when I saw them in the store, but bought them anyway. When I got them home, they would not stretch over the gunwales of the boat. A few seconds with a heat gun, and they went right on......and haven't come off since. Even during a all day trip, they stayed put. Great design, but needs a little modification to fit a canoe. Holds my Yeti cup or bottled water perfectly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for Pelican kayaks I like the concept but do not buy this for a Pelican kayak. It does not fit the cockpit lip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can-coctions Can-panion Beverage Holder Nice concept... might work well with some things but does not work well with my boat. -Old Town Vapor 10 Due to the design, the holder itself sits almost completely parallel the floor of the boat. Even with a bottol (average glass bottle beverage), it didn't have enough weight to sit the holder as most would expect the holder to sit. LARGE cavity for most beverage sizes. (Would almost say that an average glass bottle or can might be too small) Possibly a small Gatorade (R) bottle would fit.. even one's "red Solo (R) cup" would fit nicely... DEFINITELY not too snug! Plenty of room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This item is great if you like spilling your beverages I bought this to attach to my Kayak. It was cheap so I figured I would give it a try. Turns out the lip on my kayak is too wide. These only fit on things about an inch in width or less. Otherwise it simply pops off. I also tried hanging this by pre cut hole designed to hang on a screw or nail. I installed a screw on my kayak to hang it from. Now it swung side to side my entire trip until it popped off. This product might fit a Canoe but won't fit most Kayaks. That should stop marketing as such. Some applications might be ok but so far all I've had are spilt beverages.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great while it lasted I actually used this cup holder for my phone while I was out on the water. It fit my Otterbox-ed iPhone 4 perfectly and kept it out of the way yet easily accessible. Everything was going swimmingly until I hit a patch of rapids on the river, flipped my kayak, and lost this little guy downstream. Luckily I had moved my phone to my dry box when we saw the rough waters ahead, so no great loss there, but the cup holder itself was long gone. Anyway, I definitely recommend this accessory and will be buying another to replace my original, for the price you can't go wrong.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit kayaks. Unless you're hanging this on a 1/2" pipe, it doesn't fit anything. It rolls right off kayak lips, it's so tense it takes two hands to uncurl to even attempt to attach it to anything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best I've tried so far For those without built-in botle-holders in their kayaks who are tired of using thebungee cord only to have it slip at the wrong moment this works the best of thoseI've tried so far. Latching onto the comb has been the problem I've had on severalof my boats, Wilderness Systems & Dagger, this holder grips more securely thanothers I've tried in the past. And I like the idea of being able to relocate my waterbottle as it suits my need, some of the built-ins limit you to between your legsand that's it. For a small investment it's well worth a try.
