True American Icon

My first Carhartt jacket in brown color, it's a very nice and the weight and liner warm 1 rating is perfect for southern California. I am 5'7", 160lbs and jeans size is 32 now and size S fit just right. Almost the same size S as many other brands I have owned. The silhouette is boxy shape and not tapered to the hem so I can zip comfortably at waist without struggling that how exactly you see the jacket on Jack Reacher lol. Since the size is correct for me, the flex feature is not really necessary to have for me but might be good for someone who between sizes. It's really stretchy if I pull and see. If anyone curious garment sizing measurements are pit to pit 20", length from bottom of collar to end 24", hem opening at the bottom 20" and sleeve length 25". For the small size, sleeve 25" is a bit longer but the fabric feels thick and crease up at elbow area so eventually fit like 24 inches. This DNA of Detroit jacket is a true American icon jacket and I am glad that I finally owned one. It's one of the best rugged looking styles jackets and the more it wear the more it looks better and is the perfect color and style for denims and boots. The garment construction seems last for many years to come and nice rich brown color. For the price no brainer and worth every penny. Hope to get in different colors too.

Size & Fit

I wish mfr's would make clothing for the body styles out in the real world. Not everyone is tall and thin or have body measurements that fit within a certain category. For example, why isn't there a Short Category, with a Slim, Reg. & Wide. I would imagine there are a lot of consumers that are in the 5' to 5'5" range that would need to get an xl, 2xl, 3xl etc. for the waist and hip to fit but need sleeve lengths that fall under the Reg. Category. ex: 30-32" sleeve. I think, if this can be figured out, it would serve a large customer base.

Disappointing Quality

The lining is just thin cloth. The original Detroit jacket was far superior.

A Very Nice Light And Comfortable Jacket.

I liked this jacket long before I ordered it. And when I decided to order it was everything I thought it was. Perfect for this fall weather not heavy just right the only thing from the looks of it in the picture the color looks more towards an off white in color but it's more towards a beige color. None the matter I really like this jacket plenty of pockets for your cell phone nice job Carhartt!!

Not Happy With The Color

A great jacket, but not happy with the color. It looks like an olive instead of a white sand cream color..
