I bought this jacket for my son to wear when helping me outside or going out into the wilderness. He likes the fleece lining and the pockets. He doesn't get cold like I do, and this jacket works well for him with just a hoodie underneath it. My son usually wears a large or XL with other manufacturers, but I know that Carhartt is always big, so I got him a medium.

Fantastic

I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs, 38 year old father of 3 with very broad shoulders, a little belly and the LARGE size fits perfectly with enough room to fit a hoodie and PrimaLoft or Nano Puff vest under the jacket for extra warmth. I wear an Extra Large for 90% of clothing items and occasionally a XXL depending on the brand and/or cut. So may reviews give what they feel is helpful info but judge based on a matter of preference, just follow the size guide which is spot on. I also tried this jacket in an XL and was literally sloppy big. Don't know why Carhartt is getting rid of this jacket, it's everything I've been looking for other than any sort of water resistance and HATE the jackets with the stretchy fabric around the waist.

Poorly Designed Elbows

I started working in this jacket in November 2021, brand new. As of March 2022, both elbow seams have busted open. My last Carhartt jacket lasted me five years, with the elbows intact, this one didn’t last a single winter. If this jacket didn’t have the futile seams running across the elbows, I’m sure it would be a great jacket. Though the flaps on the back of your shoulders will catch on things as well; that’ll be the next failure.

The jacket bulges in the front and it makes me look like I have a big stomach. It is cut badly. I will return the jacket and hopefully I am refunded. Thank you.

*The pockets are not ideal! *Material is sucks up most dirt! * Should have gotten the brown one!
