About This Item
The Active Jac has been a favorite on American ranches, farms, and factory floors since its release in the '70s. Built to move, this modern version is designed with stretch panels across the back and elbows. It's cut from warm fleece-lined duck that feels broken-in from the start. Previously known as the Full Swing® Armstrong Active Jacket. Full Swing was developed with insight from our Carhartt Crew, a group of hardworking folks who wear our gear on the job day in and day out and let us know what they really think.
Fit & Design:
Fleece-lined hood with adjustable drawcord closure
Left-chest pocket with zipper; two lower-front pockets
Inside pocket with hook-and-loop closure and zipper
Features stretch across the shoulders, arms that move free without the jacket riding up, and a bigger bend in the elbows
Carhartt-strong, triple-stitched main seams
Internal rib-knit storm cuffs; Rib-knit waist
Technology:
Carhartt Full Swing® technology to improve the way you move whether you're bailing hay or chopping firewood.
I love my Washed Duck Bartlett Active Jac! I have been out these last few days in these Southeast Michigan high winds in the 30 - 40 mph range and this jacket cuts it like it doesn't even exist. I feel no impact internal to the jacket and have sacrificed nothing in terms of warmth and comfort. I like that the sleeves and waisted are ribbed with flexible and stretchy fabric borders to prevent wind and cold from entering. The texture and flexibility is great in terms of facilitating movement when I need to lift, bend, or reach. And, to me, better than the regular Washed Duck Active Jacs, the front vertical velcro seal pockets give me the added easy store, secure storage that makes up for the open, non-zippered side pockets to hold credit cards, phone, keys, or anything else small but important that you wouldn't want to lose of have to search the ground looking for. Overall, I am very pleased with my research and the results in the product I have. I just wish I had bought one sooner... Thank You Carhartt!!!

Short Skinny Guys Need Not Apply.
Quality was fine. "Red duck" color was chocolate brown. I like this liner. Fabric weight was good, hood fit well, zipper seemed nice. I'm 5'9", 180#, 34" sleeve, 16" neck, 41" chest, 32" waist, 38" hips. (Telecom tower climber, I'm a little ball of muscle, hate, and coffee.) The sleeves were perfect, good length, just loose enough to wear base layer+flannel+hoody and still move but zero extra, sleeves still covered my wrists when I lifted my hands above my head and the jacket has underarm gussets in addition to the action-back so no issues crossing my arms or anything. Shoulder width was perfect, seemed to be about 19" seam to seam across the top, which leaves room for layering without having the jacket restrict movement. The knit bottom of the body to seal out the draft seemed like it was fine for my hips, would fit someone 36-42" hips. Not going to fit very big guys. The underarm chest measurement was 23" across, baggy for layering and movement, fit my chest a tad but big but ok. The waist measurement was 25" across, so a 50" waist. I have a 32" waist. I could completely double the jacket over the entire front of my body and still had room to move. This jacket would fit your redneck drunk uncle's beer belly with room to spare. This jacket would fit two of me at the waist. The body length: jacket came down to the bottom of the pockets on my pants, I'm 5'9", jacket feels like it was sized to fit people up to 6'2" (like the model in the photos)and every inch shorter than that means it will look longer and longer, can't just roll the bottom up because the zipper makes a weird lump. Overall, even though the shoulders and sleeves fit right, just too much fabric and had to return it. It gave "I'm in grade school and wearing my dad's jacket" vibes. For reference I wear an old size Medium M-65 field jacket and it fits fine without the liner, just enough room to button in the smoking jacket and wear a collared shirt. And I wear a medium peacoat.

The jacket was excellent, but too large. I gave it to my daughter.

Attractive Red Duck Color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] More than what I expected, The Red Duck color is very attractive. Definitely looking for a hoodie in Red Duck color.
