Montana Relaxed Fit Duck Jacket

I purchased this Montana relaxed fit duck jacket because I like the 2 tone color at the shoulders and the draw cord at the bottom of the jacket. Jacket is warm with just a tee shirt and button oxford under it comfortable down to about 30 degrees. I would classify it as a midweight and I really like the jacket. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 and I really like it is the arm pit area needs to have gusset for more freedom of movement. I'm 5'ft7" and 153lbs and I would not wash it any other way except cold water and dry it on cool because if it shrank even a little in the arm pit area it would not be comfortable anymore and its to expensive to not wear until its worn out.

Duck Insulated Jacket

Very soft duck fabric.Very warm. Expensive but will last a long time. Runs a bit large.

Warm Tough Jacket

Well made with great materials and a warm, quilted lining. I've used it outside in the 20's and 30's with just a t-shirt underneath without getting cold - the knit cuffs and drawstring hem keep the drafts out. It fits slightly roomy (5'8", 150, size S) and I can fit a bulky hoodie under it without a problem. Features I appreciate are the lined pockets, two internal (one zip and one velcro) pockets, and stiff collar to flip up in the wind. Very happy with it thus far!

Got this as a gift for future son-in-law and it is a big hit.

Almost A 5 Star

Overall this is one of the best jackets I have ever had,I have now worn it in colder weather here in AL(in the 20's)and it is really warm. The construction is very good and I am confident it will hold up for may years like my other carhartt ones. The only complaint i have is the collar is garbage,whoever designed that is not very talented. The collar is flimsy and makes a almost plastic crinkle sound when your folding it,this would easily be a 5 star jacket if the collar was better,thicker and maybe a sherpa material.

Like It

Overall very good jacket. Medium fits great on 5-11, 160lb. Rugged flex Duck fabric seems durable enough for forestry work. A little warmer than expected. For me it's a 20-40 degree Jkt depending on layering. Good pockets. Zipper might be a bit wimpy but time will tell. Collar is a little stiff so hope it softens with wear and laundering.

Exceptional Quality

My husband said his coat fits perfect and is very comfortable. I say it looks very good on him. It's rugged enough for a hard-working man, but at the same time the coat looks great for casual wear when you're just out-and-about in cold windy weather.
