I purchased this a month ago and have only worn it a few times due to weather however this product is perfect for light windy and misty days.

Well Designed But Questionable Effectiveness

Understanding that this stylish rain jacket is designed for light rain, in have felt that it performs adequately. Anything more than misting or very light rain might require a different jacket.

Wore it in the rain recently and my shoulders were completely drenched. Very misleading. Especially since it says 'Rain defender® durable water repellent (DWR)'.

Perfect Light Rain Jacket

Bought this jacket a few months back and absolutely love it. I bought it mainly to be a rain jacket in the warmer months or as a light jacket on a cool morning. I do grocery delivery for work so I'm only out of my car for a few minutes at a time and this jacket keeps me perfectly dry. I do normally wipe off all standing water with a towel so my seat doesn't get wet. I saw there was some 1 star reviews for it not being completely waterproof. The material is waterproof, but the seams aren't sealed so water will eventually seep through if you're getting rained on long enough.

Disappointed Carhartt Supporter

Very disappointed in the water repellent/waterproof aspect of this jacket. I bought 3 weeks ago and have worn the jacket twice. Both times in a little more than a light drizzle and both times my clothing ended up drenched underneath the jacket. Most especially in the shoulder area. If you're only relying on it to cross a parking lot it may do the trick but any sort of length of time in the rain and you might as well be without it. For a 100 dollar jacket with the carhartt name/logo attached to it, it's a long long ways away from delivering the protection that it's supposed to and that carhartt is historically known for. Good LOOKING jacket but not worth a dang in the field. Would not recommend this jacket to anybody.
