Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I purchased these gloves for shoveling snow. I live in CT and after the blizzard I ended up with bruises and calluses on my hands after using thin skiing gloves. These gloves have been great. I have been shoveling snow at least once a week since buying these gloves. They offer a serious amount of padding and grip when shoveling. They are super warm (to the point where your hands do sweat) and they are definitely waterproof. The palm is synthetic leather, but the details on the knuckles/back of the hand is real leather. They look nice and I love how well they match with my black Carhartt coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Gloves! I bought these gloves as a last minute purchase for a snowboarding trip. I am a cold-natured person and do not like the cold at all - this was my first time doing snow sports of any type. When we first went out that morning the temperature was in the teens (Fahrenheit) and did reach into the twenties later in the day. My hands never got the slightest bit cold. Even though the leather got wet from numerous falls and general playing, the insides stayed dry and toasty. The drawstrings around the wrists are easy to operate with the other hand and did a great job keeping snow out of my sleeves. I can't speak to the long term durability of the gloves since I've only had them a couple of weeks but they seem really well made. I would definitely recommend these gloves for their comfort and warmth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Weather Proof These are the warmest gloves I have ever owned and will keep your hands dry if you're working or playing in the snow. Durability is good so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality gloves Short and sweet: These are the best winter gloves this store has for sale.I use these gloves at work outside at Logan intl. Airport and they are fantastic. I went into the store prepared to spend $80 on a nice pair of winter gloves to keep my hands warm and dry. I found a no-name pair for $75 that looked like the best I was going to get, until I saw these in the camping section. These were only ~$40 and I couldn't believe it. I knew this brand was well known even though I had never worn it before, I trusted the brand. And heck, at $40, even if they didn't last me a whole year, I figured I would still be able to get another pair of the same and break even in the end. But as it turns out these were a steal at that price. After two weeks of use they look as good as they did in the store with no signs of wear or tear. And even during the rain and snowstorms we've had, being out in the cold loading/unloading bags from the aircraft, my hands are perfectly warm and dry.The only concern is that the fingertips on them are fat. So if you need to access any tiny areas with your fingers that could be difficult while wearing the gloves. I have to pull the glove down tight around my index finger with my other hand to pop open the little latches that lock the aircraft's access panels.I highly recommend these gloves!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont be fooled by the thick insulation. The only size they had in the store was large. They seamed to fit in the store but once you try taking them off and on a few times the lining would slide out and make it hard to get back on. I've only worn them once on a 39 degree day and my hands went numb within 2 hours, these are horrible.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice warm and dry gloves! Nice gloves dry and warm the only issue I have is the inside mitt is hard to get your hands in and out of with them a little wet or sweaty. The insert seems to pull out when you remove your hand and can be a pain to get back in place. Otherwise nice warm gloves.
