Smooth And Reduces Hat Hair

Maybe these have been around and I haven't noticed them, but if not, this style is long overdue and I hope to see the color selection expand. I own and wear a lot of Carhartt hats in varying styles, but if I'm planning to be somewhere that I need to take it off, I just go without. Now I'll be honest, I don't rock a fancy curled hairstyle or anything, but hat hair is real and I'm not trying to look a complete mess. The lining truly helps with this and my hair doesn't feel as dried out and frizzy from the hat friction. When I say it helps with hat hair, that doesn't equate to a perfect fresh from the salon look, so don't expect that. You can work around it and I don't think it can really be changed on Carharrt's end without losing function, so I'm not knocking a star off or anything. There is still the unlined portion toward the rolled band of the hat. Technically, you could roll it again to have only the lining in contact with your hair and forehead, but that unlined portion is really necessary to keep the hat securely. Basically, you might get a little smooshing, but it's much easier to fix your hair once removed and just give it a tossle, plus the hat is super comfortable while still staying warm. I don't think you can get any better than this. I imagine this is just as pleasant for those with minimal to no hair. The "satin" lining is smooth and comfy. Please add on more color and logo contrast options!

It's A Great Hat... Ignore The Comments From Those Who Didn't Read The Description. Sorry Not Sorry.

I'm not sure why but it appears all the other reviewers can't seem to read at least not the ones reviewing saying this is falsely claiming to be satin or silk.... if you read the description this hat is described and sold as a "SATEEN LINED" beanie.... sateen and satin and silk are all different things... this is in fact SATEEN... which is what it's sold and described as... sateen is reminiscent of satin... but they are not one in the same. This hat is exactly what it says it is.. and is great quality... prevents your hair from going completely crazy upon removal. It does mildly ride up if you don't get it settled on your head well but in my case I have that issue with most beanies especially those with liners like this. It's not enough of a bother to stop me from wearing it and I don't really fiddle or fix it while wearing it much so... do with that what you will. It's a good hat, cute color options, and it doesn't leave your hair going in every direction when you take it off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] good quality fabric which is typical for carhartt but the logo had stitching that wasn't straight and it cut the logo needless to say the girlfriend wasn't happy but still wears it because it's warm and it's winter

Great For Long Hair

I really like this silk lined hat- unlike most winter hats it does not leave me with crazy hat hair and it does not itch!! It does tend to 'ride up' leaving my ears exposed a bit (but I have that problem with all winter hats.) I would love a version of this hat with a ponytail hole! Otherwise it's great and it's already my favorite winter hat. Highly recommend especially if you have long hair!

Pretty Good, But Slightly Snug Fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually need a beanie with a lining for added protection from wind, so I appreciate the lining in this beanie. The longer beanie length with folded cuff is also helpful for adjusting the fit to make sure my ears are always covered. I guess I have a slightly large head because this beanie has a slightly snug fit--it's not terribly uncomfortable, but it does flatten my hair more than I would like, so I'll wear it for shoveling snow but probably not for wearing to work because it'll flatten my hair.
