Didn't Do What I Needed

Do NOT buy this as a raincoat!! I tried discussing this issue on a chat here at Carhartt and got no where. This jacket is advertised as a rain jacket so I purchased it full price. Wore it the other day as I got stuck in the rain and I was SOAKED completely through into my clothing. I contacted support and they say it's only for light rain! What? So now I need multiple rain jackets. I love carhartt products overall but this one do not buy if you're using it as a raincoat, which is why I bought it. Rain Defender, it is NOT. Light spring jacket, it'll be fine.

Pros: color, styling, length, effectiveness in keeping out rain - great, cute coat Con: the sleeves could be a bit longer. I am 5'7" and bought a small and the sleeves just reach my wrists with no room to spare. Would be problematic for anyone taller.
