The barrel-leg design was fairly subtle compared to other popular designs, but at my stature (5'2 135lbs) it was not fitting right how I wanted. I am reviewing this from a fashion-perspective rather than for working in. I am curvy (small waist, larger legs and butt) and experienced some waist-gapping. I ordered a 4 and still had about an inch that could be taken out of the waist, but it fit perfectly around the butt, hips, and legs. The inseam is not great for my height and cuffing / rolling them up looked a little awkward, hoping they will add a short inseam at some point. Other than the fitting issues, they seem like a good quality pair of pants.

Okay ladies, don't sleep on these. I read the reviews and wanted to believe the hype, so bought a pair of both ecru and brown in 2 different sizes...and am totally blown away. I am 5'4" 165 normally a 4/6/8/10 or 28-30 in jeans/other pants...impossible to choose sizes nowadays. I got an 8 and a 10 in these and the 10s were way too big. I kept the 8's, they're comfortable with room to wiggle or wear a base layer, but I think the 6 would have been the perfect fit- not a worry, I will buy those too ;) I have an hourglass shape w/ strong thighs, nearly impossible to find pants that fit right- not the case this time. The waist is perfect w/o the massive gap and the thighs aren't constricting at all. Quality is fantastic, they are rigid and sturdy. Have already worked in them and have been blown away by the fit and the feel- can't say enough good things. I will never buy normal Carhartts or men's again (midrise pants are my least favorite thing on Earth) so please, never stop making these!!! Maybe just a few more colors? Considering dying the white pair...hmmm... regardless- just buy them, ladies!!

I just ordered a couple more pairs! Honestly, I purchased these as work pants but felt so good when I first put them on (today) that I styled and wore them out with some combat boots. They have a super cute relaxed fit at true size which is very "in" right now, and very comfortable - actually high waisted too. I bought a size down (2) this time too to see how they fit a bit tighter, even just for a different look, if they still fit. I expect these look best on ladies with some curves. I'm 5'5, appx 135, with a bit of a booty, and quite happy with the size 4. Oh, but I went for the long!! The future shrinking/stretching with wears and washes is an unknown but I am excited enough to jump the gun a bit on this review. I cannot speak to the durability on day 1, but evidently I am THAT pumped about these pants! Echoing other comments to make these available in more colors.

I know it's an ordeal for women to find fitting work pants; it's tough for others of us who are small, too. I'm 5'8", 120 lb, and male-shaped. Men's pants are never narrow enough for me. Sometimes I can find women's pants that fit me (usually a size 2), but even then they're usually thinner and less durable than the ones aimed at men. The main selling point for me on these is that they're made of nice thick 12 oz cotton - and from the photos, it seemed they might fit me. I would've tried either the 0 or 2 in regular, but so many sizes are out of stock that the closest I could get was the 2 tall, which I expected I'd have to hem. I can report that the fabric is indeed nice and thick, and these seem sturdily constructed. Unfortunately, they're not only too big, they seem like quite a different shape than what's pictured; the waist is only a little bigger than ideal, while my legs are positively swimming. I know I'm skinny, but there's no way the model in the photos has legs that are at least twice as wide as mine. Another problem - and I realize this is probably exacerbated by the tall size - is that these are beyond high-waisted. If I let the waistband settle, the crotch is down between my thighs; when I hike them up high enough to get it situated, the pants are up past my natural waist and onto my rib cage. Carhartt, please restock the smaller sizes. (There's a chance the size 0 might be at least wearable.) And maybe don't discontinue styles so aggressively; the pair of black work pants I bought a couple years ago aren't the best fit, but they were workable. Now that they're falling apart, I'd gladly buy several pairs, but it no longer exists.

5'7", 160lbs and ordered the 10. The fit on these is perfect. Electrician here and these are high enough rise that my underwear isn't hanging out. I have a very curvy/pear shaped figure and really struggle to find pants that fit me and don't gap in the back. These are perfectly loose enough for bending all day but cute enough that I still feel good at work. PLEASE make them in a black! Grey would also be lovely.
