Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Helmet and my advice regarding getting the stickers to actually stick! Bought 2 of these personalized helmets a month ago. I have no problems with the helmet itself. I do wonder how the back of the helmet size adjuster will hold up over time. The boys LOVE their helmets and the fact that they got to personalize them. I was a bit intimidated by having to put the vinyl decals onto the helmets. One of those, don't mess this up Dad moments. I finally got the decals to stay on without resorting to crazy glue. Here are my tips: 1. The glue on the decals is almost like rubber cement. When you peel it up off the paper backing, the glue on the very edges of the decal tend to stay on the paper backing. Make sure to get all the glue on the decals. You will need it. 2. Try to avoid getting your fingers onto the back of the decals and touching the glue. I believe the oils on your skin weaken the binding strength. 3. Position correctly the first time and hope that you don't have to reposition the decals. (The binding power of the glue lessons.) 4. THE KEY THING is take a hair dryer to the decals AFTER they are on the helmet. Super heat everything. The heat softens the vinyl decals and makes it easier to reshape them to the curvature of the helmet. Press the stickers gently down again. Once done with this step, leave the helmet alone for a while and let the glue set. It's been a month now and the boys have had a few lacrosse practices. The decals look fine. They are not pulling off, yet. I suspect after a season of checking and sticks to the noggin that the decals won't be quite as pretty. ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Helmet Bought this helmet for my 8 year old son. Went to Dicks store and tried on helmets to get correct size. DO NOT ORDER WITHOUT DOING THIS. My is 8 pr old (a little taller than most) took a size S/M.Helmet arrived 3 business days later, exactly as ordered. I had to put 4 stickers on helmet that took me about 2 min. Very sturdy helmet and look great. He wore helmet to game last weekend and he loves it. His teammates love the color combo. He says he can see better, and it fits better than the helmet that we had on loan from our program. He also says he was less "sweaty" in this helmet. Awesome helmet at a great price. Three day delivery (2 days to build and 1 shipping) and free shipping. Buy this helmet and keep your kid safe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helmet looked great but not good fit The ability to customize a lacrosse helmet is awesome! The online tool works great and gave us the chance to see all of our combinations before we chose one. The helmet arrived quickly and looked amazing. Unfortunately, it did not fit. Before placing the order, we tried the same size and model CPV-R on in a store, where it was loose. For some reason, the one we ordered was too small. The Dick's Sporting Goods Store where we normally shop happily refunded our money as we hadn't applied the decals yet. I think the helmet and the option to customize are great. It just didn't work out for us.

Would have been nice to have the option of choosing the color of the face mask like other retailers let you do. Have to place the stickers on the helmet yourself so don't drink too much coffee beforehand as you need a steady hand. Shipping was free but that is typical.

My son loves being able to customize the helmet from shell to stickers giving him more reason to want to wear his gear!
