Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking sticks I bought these poles a couple of weeks ago and am enjoying them very much, I have problems walking for long walks but these poles help to keep me walking straight and upright and I am able to walk over a mile at a time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, cheap, first pair of trekking poles I bought these for a backpacking trip I'm going on this summer. I've never used trekking poles before and really didn't think I needed them, but my co-hikers with experience felt that I should use them. All in all, I really like them, especially once I figured out how to use them. I really like them for going uphill with a heavy backpack on. And even when walking on flat ground I found a technique that allows me to go faster without feeling like I'm expending more energy. While I've only used them a few times for training on local trails so far, I have had no problems with the grips that others have talked about. I have also had zero issues with the locking mechanism. I've locked them in place and never had them collapse on me from the locks giving out. The only reason I gave only 4 stars is that the poles tend to vibrate a lot when I'm using them. It hasn't bothered me physically but it is a little annoying. It's possible that I'm doing something wrong with them but more than likely it's because they are cheap aluminum poles. Either way, I'm keeping them since they work very well for me and I couldn't beat the price of $25.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rehab Efficient I originally bought to use with getting back into everyday walking over distances...something that has been trouble since very serious lower spine surgery working on six months ago; double knee surgery just prior to that and left shoulder re-build just prior to that. I used for first time last night...just one pole and inside over mall distances. Certainly holds my weight and very easy to un-latch and push together for situations like a restaurant or vehicle. I have not tried to tackle an uneven walkway out of doors as yet with temps around 90 degrees and of course double poles but coming. I also am going through discovery on the Peripheral Neuropathy I evidently have so the Trekking Poles should help...time will tell; and lower temperatures.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK Ok for the price but they don’t stay locked. With every step they slowly go down and I have to keep stopping to pull it back out. Really annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking/trekking poles at a very reasonable price. I joined a hiking club and didn't think I needed poles, but the first hike up in the Evergreen foothills convinced me otherwise. So nice to have the extra stability while navigating between rocks and on the side of the trail.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inexpensive This is my second pair. Bent one of first pair, my fault but discovered that they're pretty soft aluminum. Mine get used every day. Poles are a bit noisy and on the heavy side but have held up well for the money.
