My son tried these on and we tied really tightly, all the way up, but his ankle still wobbles around with gaps. I'd say the ankle support isn't great on these. We may consider buying a different pair. We got the correct size because his toe is pretty close to the front...

The skate itself is well made. The part where you lace up is hard plastic so is not flexible. What I like most is the inner ankle support

Very Sturdy

I searched everywhere for skates for my son and these were the nicest, most reasonably priced skates I could find in his in between youth/junior size. He loved them and they seem like they'll hold up. Love Dick's fast shipping too!

Skates Hurt
I bought this item about a month ago fir both my girls, 12 & 15. They both complained about pain even after using it several times. Hopefully I can return it.
