Great for beginners and you can't beat the price. Our only problem is that none of the youth sizes fit my kid and the junior fit great around the waste but way to long. So we went with bauer youth large and it was perfect fit

Advantages And Disadvantages

I'm a CCM fan (except I prefer Bauer skates.) Advantages: More form fitting than the Bauer with some extra side padding on the leg side; Stretchier for performance play (yes even for munchkin hockey) Disadvantages: There are no buttons for suspenders so if you have a slender child, the pants will likely not fit- the waist is wider for the length of the pant; the pants do not protect as high over the waist at the sides as a comparable Bauer pant. Interesting feature: The back of the pant is not the traditional canvas that is on the front. It is a stretchier, breathable material. Likely offer less protection (ie a blade) as a result.
