I received the Charge CG 79650 as a Christmas gift in December of 2023. It has been nothing but problems and I would NOT recommend buying one. I have tried Trouble Shooting the various problems, but it does NOT seem to help for long. Save your money and buy another more reliable brand!

Literally Just Doesn't Work
Came with ripped and damaged instructions and sensor does absolutely nothing. Only buy if you want to waste your money and time

Works Fine For Inexpensive Bike Computer
Bought this to replace an older computer. Purchased this at the start of summer and it has worked with out any problems for the past couple of months. The installation was easy. I used Zip Ties instead of the supplied rubber band to attach the computer base to the bike stem. This works a lot better and is more stable. Computer set up is a bit awkward and not intuitive. It took a couple of tries before I had the computer properly set up. The instructions are very basic and the written instructions are not on the same side of the instruction sheet as the visual instructions. I practiced a couple of times toggling through and resetting the main functions so using the main functions are now a snap. This is an inexpensive bike computer so I am curious to see how it will last over time but right now it functions properly as it should with no issues.

Easy To Install, Works Great!!
I was in the fence about using an app on my phone, or using this computer for my bike rides. I took this route for several reasons. First it's safer then having my phone hang out there on my handlebars. Second it's very accurate for speed and distance. And as I noted in the title very easy to install. It's a great little piece to have, definitely serves its purpose. I would buy this again for my other bike. Or consider getting another base and sensor and just move the computer from bike to bike.

Don’t Waste Your Money
Bought this to replace an older Bell unit that got damaged (my fault). I figured these were all the same and just got what was on the shelf. When I went to install the magnet that attaches to the spokes, the retaining nut crumbled into several pieces. Realizing it would cost me as much to return the unit as it cost me in the first place, I attempted to get resolution through the manufacturer. I sent an email to the company with an explanation of what happened, photos of the damage, etc, I simply asked for a replacement nut. 2 weeks later and I still have received ZERO acknowledgement of the issue or request. Maybe it’s too much to ask for a fully functional product in exchange for my money. If you want a poor quality product combined with frustration this is for you. If you are in charge of merchandising for Dick’s I suggest dropping this company from your shelves.

Many Helpful Functions But Attachment Iffy
... great as to functions, but find additional secure attachment method for the head screen unit as it can fall off easily even with pushing the buttons to change functions. I am trying a small rubber band.

I did not work out of the box and all it would do was just flash the screen after I followed the directions on package and it never worked DO NOT BUY
