Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great purchase! So far so good! My 6 year old son started skating this year, first ice skating and then his first roller rink party. When his birthday rolled around he asked for a pair of roller skates. I searched high and low for something like this. I hate buying stuff like this on-line because if it doesn't work it's always a hassle to return it. Ordered through Dick's because the price was the best and they said I could return them to the store if I needed to.So far he's only worn them around the house, but I like that they look like rollerblades but with the two back wheels together it offers that extra stability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I searched various stores but couldn't find adjustable training inline skates for my 6.5 year old. He wears a size 1 and I wanted something he could grow with as he learned how to inline skate. I was thrilled to find this product online and the fact that I could return it to a physical store, if need be, was a selling point as well. Others have written about the low quality of the pads and/or helmet that comes with this combo pack. However, considering these are training skates, I doubt that any child at this level will be doing any tricks that would warrent the need of a higher quality helmet. I also like the fact that everything stays neatly together in the backpack; this makes traveling easier when you can just throw the whole thing into the car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THESE SKATES!!! I bought these skates for my two boys for Christmas and they have been skating around the kitchen floor everyday since. They LOVE them!!! The skates are in training mode right now but I will easily be able to move the wheels into inline mode when that time comes. It did take them a couple of days to get there balance but now they are off to the races. I am already looking into buying my younger son the skates for sizes 1 - 4, since he will outgrow the J10 -J13 that I got him by summer, and I will be passing these down to his cousin whose feet are smaller than my son's. I absolutely recommend these skates to everyone who has small children that want some independence while in the skating rink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Evening you need to learn to skate They seem to be of decent quality, however the internal soft boot does not extend to the full length of the skate. Also, the wheels seem stiff to roll which is good for now and maybe they will loosen over time. I really like that they come with a helmet, wrist and knee pads, and a backpack for carrying them. The backpack is cheap, but better than nothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Beginner Skates I bought these for my 6 year old who has never been on skates. It is good beginner set and I really liked that it came with everything needed so I didn't have to go searching for a helmet, knee pads, etc. Fairly easy to understand the instructions on how to adjust them. The bag is not of great quality and it is difficult to get everything to fit in it but that that hasn't been an issue for us, we found another place to store everything.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average, but could have been better Got these in both sizes for my kids for Christmas. The product itself is great! However, one set of the skates was missing the conversion kit and both backpacks had become brittle and cracked open. The plastic for the backpacks seemed to be cheaply constructed. The elbow and knee pads and helmet work fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good set We love that this set came with everything. Our child is a beginner so the pads and helmet make us all feel better. The straps on the skates don't lock very well, and that is my only complaint. They pop open easily, but it's not a deal breaker for us. Very pleased with the product and the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product has good features These were a Christmas gift for my 4yr. old grandson. Withheld review until he actually got to use them. Of course Dick's service was excellent. He's a new skater so needed the adjustable inline training combo, others manufactuers that I had checked out were already too small in size so was very happy to find a pair that went to size 4. They are easy to adjust, wheel composition seems to be good for indoor rink. Would suggest wearing a heavy sock if possible, just adds a little more comfort.
