Better Options Available
So my error for not checking, but the combo I got had misaligned guides. That being said, the rod itself is not bad. Reel is VERY cheap. For the price there are better options out there.

Poor Quality
This is my first endeavor into ice fishing and heard clam generally a good brand so I picked this combo up. I didn’t really inspect it until I got home to find not a single guide is in line. I figured I’m not casting so no biggie. I began spooling up line and the reel feels like it has gravel for bearings. Not to mention it has a plastic spool. So I decided to take a trip to another “outdoor store” to find much better quality and feel from other brands and for cheaper. Even the Shakespeare combo had an aluminum spool on the reel and that’s about as cheap a brand as you’ll find. My first impression of clam is not a good one.
