Golf Galaxy Customer Service Lied To Me

Prior to buying these Irons I was told since they didn't have a set in store I could test that if I played a round with them and hated them I could return them. Sadly they weren't for me, I reached out to customer service again to setup the return and was told that since I played with them it wasn't possible to be returned... even though I was specifically told that was fine prior to purchasing... Not sure why they are lying to their customers to secure purchases.
