Rated 2 out of 5 by from Runny and messy While this does do what it's supposed to (a popup rainstorm hit while I was applying this to my tent. The treated seams stayed dry, the untreated seams leaked just a little) it's really thin and clear, so I wasted a lot that dripped down, which I had to wipe up as I was applying it. Plus, it turned white when it dried, which just makes my tent ugly. The seam sealer I bought for my last tent applied with a small brush, which I think worked better. Plus, the application tip was the wrong size to screw on to the tube. I had to force it on crooked and hope it didn't leak around the threads.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job but leaves a white residue I bought this item several weeks ago and sealed the seems of our Kelty Grand Mesa 4 tent. Immediately after applying, a white residue appeared on the tent material in several places. The tent stayed dry during some very wet camping conditions (average of two heavy storms a day for 3 days) and the seems did not let any wanter in. Whether that had to do with the manufacturers seam seal or the additional seal from this product is hard to say but if you are okay with the white residue that it leaves then it appears that this product did its job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to use I had a hard time using this product because of its more liquid consistency. The tube nozzle end is very nice to get into tight places, but only if you are applying it in a downward motion. I bought this after a failed attempt with the same brand water based seal. I ultimately ordered and used Seam Grip with success ( and less mess).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from awful Just bought it. Took the tube out of the box, popped a hole in the top and TRIED to place the top on to funnel the glue onto the fabric. The top didn't fit, by any means. So I was on my own, squeezing this glue out into a "bead". Oh no, glue is like water. It ran out if the tube and everywhere. Terrible Terrible Terrible

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work I bought this a month ago used it on my tent as directed. First time camping, it rained and every seam on my tent leaked leaving my tent flooded. Needless to say we had to vacate the tent the first night and go to a hotel at 11 pm an hour away. I do not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible stuff---Will not use again I bought this yesterday to seam the seams on my "new" tent that had never been sealed. I ran out of the other brand I had bought at another sporting goods store and since this was the only one that Dick's had I decided to try it. In the past I have used a sponge bottle applicator or more recently poured the sealer on a plate and used a sponge brush. That method worked quite well. I decided to use a small cup this time. I pored the stuff in the styrofoam cup and went into the tent. This stuff smells to high heaven and melted the bottom of the cup!! I had quite the mess in the tent as I was trying to do the floor seam at the back of the tent. I had a puddle on the floor, drips as I ran out and it got all over my hands. I am not a happy camper and will be returning this pronto. I will drive the extra miles to buy the brand I used for the rainfly. I used a styrofoam plate when I applied that without a problem. No more of this stuff for me. I can't recommend this to anyone. The review won't let me give a zero star rating but that is what it deserves. Now I have to figure out how to get it safely off my hands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Go with the roll-on I'm sure it works great, but a rool-on is much easier to make sure you reach all of the seam. It also drips too fast out of the tube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tent staid dry My daughter took my old tent out to a KOA for 5 days. It didn't rain heavily but it did rain and her and the grand kids staid dry.
