Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable and durable Bought a basic model similar to this model while my white gas Coleman was getting a new generator. Mine has bigger knobs on either side. Propane version is my go to, especially with larger groups. The consistency of both burners is more helpful with a large griddle. Noticed comment about not being able to get a low simmer flame-recommend putting pan off to side or buying the newer, more expensive Coleman's. They have both, more power and much lower simmer. Better simmer than most house stoves. Both stoves, tents, and half a dozen latterns are pre-internet by decades! Did the same as my dad and scout leaders--bought Coleman!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Life Saver My 35 year old Coleman stove had served me very well. The only reason it was replaced was due to natural disaster causing a lack of time to wait for a replacement gas connection hose. Hurricane Irma left us without power for a week. Things would have been alot rougher without this stove. Not only did it provide us with hot meals and the very necessary hot morning coffee, it also provided a means to heat water for hot bathes. We were needless to say very grateful to have it. Coleman is a brand Ive always trusted for quality and rightly so. You can depend on the quality of every Coleman product. Im very pleased with my new stove and am sure it wil last as long if not longer than my previous one. I still have my 35 year old Coleman tent and a lantern that is just as old and both are still working and in fantastic condition. Thank you Coleman for all your quality products. Whether Im deep woods camping or surviving natural distasters I can always count on Coleman. Im not only pleased with your products but truly grateful. Thank you and may God bless you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to get a low heat setting I replaced old Coleman stove when it failed during a camping trip and looked forward to going with the propane version, but I've been exasperated with the inability to set a low flame. Coleman seems to think that everyone wants a high flame, but unless you're boiling water, you will be frustrated with the inability to keep it lit if you turn it down. it can be tricky to get the regulator screwed into place as well. I think I need to replace the pump assembly on my old stove

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved a washed out Memorial day We've all been there, you save up for that big outdoor vacation, make the reservations 6 months in advance, and then when you get there, it rains for 4 out of the 5 days you're there. That's the risk you take, but we made the most out of a bad situation. What made things worse though was that our cabin's kitchenette had no vent, and the grill outside was a good distance away with no shelter. No way to cook = no way to feed a starving family...not good.So daddy got on google maps, found the closest Dick's and raced out there to pick up this camping stove which I'd had my eye on for some time anyway. I picked it up with 2 1lb propane tanks and raced back to the cabin. It set up and worked flawlessly and contrary to what I had thought, there is a little flame control. If I had to describe it, think of 10 knob positions from low to high. Position 1 is low, position 2 is a little hotter, then positions 3 - 10 are flame thrower. Not a big issue, but it took some fiddling around positions 1-3 to find the right heat so I didn't burn the burgers.Half a tank went about 20-30 minutes so stock up on those, but at a couple bucks, they won't put a huge dent in your bank account. There is also a coupler you can buy to hook this up to a 20lb tank, but that's a review for another day.The unit is packable, it's simple to set up - we were cooking inside of 5 minutes from the moment I got home. We paired this up with a Lodge double sided cast iron griddle which fits like a glove on this burner and allows you to cook a lot at one time. For the price, the value and quality couldn't be beat. The flame control could be better but for the price what can you expect. This burner saved what would have been a complete washout of a vacation so yes, color me extremely pleased with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burner dials are extremely difficult to set It's impossible to set the burner dials on anything except extremely high heat or off. You can't set them to any type of simmer, or even medium heating. Very frustrating!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good. Note: I've only taken it out for one trip. I've read some reviews for this stove that say you can't really control the heat output of this stove and I must say I disagree (not to say these reviews are not valid, take it with a grain of salt). It did everything I wanted it to do. My only complaint is that the cooking surface is very slippery. If you don't set it up pretty level, your pots and pans are going to slip around. I do worry about the durability of the wind guards, but the rest of the construction is pretty solid. Has a nice handle on it, and stores nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price and quality. It has been my everyday stove since Hurricane Maria visited Puerto Rico. Absolute great product. Definitely recomend it !!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it Returned it because there was no "constant, even heat" as mentioned in the description. There were two options-- sputtering flame or inferno. Decided to try a different Coleman stove even if it cost more money.
