The hinges displayed in the photograph are not the same as the hinges on the cooler that was received. The photograph of the family on the beach shows that it has the solid hinge that stays open super easy but what I actually received was those flimsy plastic hinges that are easy to replace because they're held on with screws. However, the cooler doesn't stay open in a neutral position. It automatically falls close.

The new coolers are made with the same high quality as the ten-year-old ones they are replacing. Sadly, many brand name companies you use to be able to count on for quality now have cheaper, inferior products. It appears that Coleman has chosen not to do that. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried out the 316 Series Cooler 52 qt 5860 T/R/T c2. This Coleman Cooler is great. We used it for a camping trip and it kept our drinks, cold cuts, and snacks very cool and still kept cool for two days. The handles are very sturdy and are easy to grab and go. The lid has four built-in cup holders, which made it very convenient to place our drinks on there. Also, the top is very solid that you can use as a seat and holds a good amount of weight. The inside of the cooler is very durable and spacious from the inside and out. It holds a lot of drinks and snacks. It kept a tight seal from the lid, which helped extend the life of the ice and temperature. I also like the blue color. Overall, this cooler works great and keeps your stuff nice and cold.
