Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Reliable Coat I purchased this coat because I needed something for wet days that was waterproof. This coat definitely repels the rain. I gave it four stars because I decided to go with the Columbia over the North Face because the description said this coat provided a layer for cool temperatures. There really isn't much to the lining so I don't see how it is better for cooler temps. Also the sizes run a little on the larger side. I usually wear a medium and this coat is a little big on me. I kept the larger size so that I can put a liner fleece underneath on colder wet days. The coat does have nice drawstrings to ensure a snug fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain Jacket Features Weight. A light rain jacket, which fits in a backpack or a Beacon Lumber Bag, when traveling, and it doesn’t weight as a standard rain jacket. Waterproof. I live in the Tropical island of Puerto Rico, were it rain, and the fabric has keep the water out. Breathability. I don’t get wet from the sweat of the inside. Packets. Two side pockets, which have zippers and nothing will get lost, and one inside pocket. Hidden away Hood. The hood could be put away when its not rainning. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Windbreaker Bought this for fall and spring motorcycle riding. This jacket was perfet, since it one of its features is the rollup hood. Finding a jacket WITHOUT a hood, or a roll-up hood was challenging! (hoods flapping in the wind can be annoying and distracting when riding). It is roomy enough so you can layer nicely underneath to accomodate the changing weather throughout the day and evening. The windbreaker will also be good for light rain, or spot showers. I did originally buy the large, but the jacket did run on the large size, so I exchanged for a medium. (for a 5'11", 165 lbs). The below ratings on size reflect my original purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof As a first time buyer of a rain jacket, I bought it thinking that I was going to stay dry for an outdoor concert and unfortunately that was not the case. Light to moderate rain. Leaked right through the seams in a matter of minutes. I was completely miserable and it was a costly mistake. As you can guess, I was not happy. Save your money and don't waste your time. It's a nice jacket otherwise. I like the design, color, and the added hoodie; but with that said, I will keep an eye on the forecast the next time I decide to wear it. Moral of the story..... save your money and buy a rain poncho.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent item and great customer service We were in need of a lightweight rain jacket that would repel water. This jacket fit perfectly, comes with a hood that rolls up so that it's there for you when needed/desired, and looks great. For a fraction of the price of some of the other brands that may attempt to distinguish themselves based on features, but I suspect fetch a higher price because wearing the item serves more as a status symbol, this item is exactly what we needed.Dicks didn't have our size in stock, but ordered it and had it drop-shipped to our home without charge. We received an instant e-mail informing us of the status and then e-mails with updates on when it would arrive. We had it within a few days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money I bought this jacket locally at the last minute on a rainy day. I trust my Columbia products and have many that work but this jacket is not one of them. It will resist light mist/rain for about 30 seconds before the whole jacket is wet and heavy. I've had it for about a month now and today was it's third time in light rain, after 5 minutes of walking from car to house while unloading groceries I had to dry the jacket with a towel and place it in the dryer to finish drying it as it was completely soaked. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sleeve Nice jacket, the only thing is that you have to wear long sleeves in order to wear it or else the sleeves of the jacket stick to your skin. I wish the inside was not rubber that would make a big difference. So I always have to wear a long sleeve short in order to wear this jacket in comfort. I intended to wear this jacket daily but that will not be the case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs Large Haven’t used in rain yet so have not tested. Writing this review to let you know this Glennaker Mens Rain jacket runs large. I’m small in mens athletic apparel and a small in this rain jackets feels medium or maybe even large. Sleeves run past my knuckles and length is between my hips and knees. Maybe this is designed this way for its function but just letting you know. And I’ve search these aren’t available in XS. This would have been perfect if Columbia makes them in XS. For comparison my fit (slim 150lbs) fits perfectly on an XL boys glennaker. But the boys jacket does not have the hood compartment and the pocket-foldability. Quality seems nice though.
