Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great as a Park Ranger Boot As a park ranger, trying to find cordovan boots that are comfortable and functional can be a challenge. Well, I have been wearing these for the past 7 months and they have done a great job. Some of the shineable toe parts have worn out and the omni grip has worn quite a bit, but I am still using these almost every day at work. They are very comfortable, and I have had no complaints. If you are looking for something to keep your feet warm, these are not the right boots for you. While these are great hiking boots, If you are going to do a lot of elevation lost on a hiking trip, you probably should buy some sock liners too with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Fit and Comfortable I purchased these boots about a year ago, but I didn't write a review then because I wanted to break them in first. After about a year, I can say that these boots are great. I bought them to use in the wet weather and for hiking, and I have not been disappointed. I was surprised at just how comfortable they were, even on 6-mile hikes and longer. Now that the weather has turned so cold, I've discovered that they're warm to boot. Overall, if you're looking for a pair of all-purpose, comfortable, and relatively affordable boots, these are for you! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking boots I have ever owned My wife bought me a pair Sorel hiking boots for Christmas that I had to return. I had worn those boots for months before a slight problem occurred. After sending them back and them acknowledging the problem they immediately sent me a credit for the boots. Super easy. At any rate, I did a quick google search for best hiking boots 2018 this Columbia model ranked in the top 5. Wow, my credit not only applied to Sorel boots, but also to Columbia, so I pulled the trigger. These are by far the best hiking boots I've ever owned. Perfect fit, super comfortable and completely waterproof. I could not be happier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big guy review Don't laugh but I purchased these to do yard work here in the north east part of the country. Typically I wear old sneakers for yard work but wanted to transition to something with more protection and support. Steel toe was unnecessary and being light and waterproof was a requirement. These have been perfect! I'm 6'5'' 360 lbs (working on it), and these feel great after 1.5 - 2 hrs yard sessions. It's been a wet summer and they are holding up great. These would be perfect for hiking and may give that a try as well. Highly recommended. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3rd Pair owned. Love them! It's hard to find good shoes that you love to buy over and over again. But the Columbia Waterproof Newton Ridge boot is that shoe. I've purchased 3 pairs of these boots over the years: they are super comfortable and durable. Hiking boots have to be comfortable for long walks in the Pacific N. W. The boot is well balanced, not heavy. And despite being leather and waterproof, they seem to breathe without the discomfort of overheating your feet. I highly recommend this boot. I'm so glad I found I the perfect boot so can spend more time outdoors instead trying on boots indoors. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable I bought these boots as a back up to my other Newton Ridge boots. I wear them all day long at work. I've currently spent four 14 hours days on my feet at a trade show in them, and they are extremely comfortable. The real reason for purchasing them was for chasing waterfalls. I do a lot of waterfall photography, and I am constantly in the water while shooting. These boots not only keep my feet dry, they also have great grip. I switched from another brand that was very similar, but had almost no grip on the rocks around the water. These boots are leaps and bounds ahead of that brand. I'd highly recommend these for hiking, work or play. They keep me dry, don't hurt my feet and are light and comfortable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot I bought my first pair for a trip to Europe 3 years ago and wore them every day for 3 weeks. They were so comfortable that I bought a second pair last year, and now wear them as a "street shoe" almost every day. I have a wide foot, and the fit of the "Wide" style is perfect. The leather polishes really well, so both pair still look new. Two minor issues: 1) The laces wore out after about a year on both pair because the lower metal eyelets tend to cut/shred them. (Metal is still better than fabric eyelets!) 2) The Omni-Grip outsoles have started to wear "flat" on my first pair. Haven't found out yet if they can be resoled. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking, casual Boots Bought a pair when my wife and I went to Lake Tahoe. Worked great in snow. Havent tried them on other terrains yet. I definitely wear these as an everyday boot too. I went half size bigger because I bought hiking boots (not columbia, “keen”) that were exact size of my feet. My toes were getting jammed on the front of the boots and it was hurting alot. So i decided to go half size bigger and these boots were way cheaper then buying the other brands. I am very satisfied with these and my next pair would be the same ones. My wife got a pair as well and loves them! I definitely would recommend them!
