Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good product, sizes run small Columbia makes good clothing: good design, good materials, good workmanship. Where they fail is sizing. In my recent order, I purchased one pair of Columbia's Lander Pants and two pairs of Silver Ridge Cargo Pants. All three pairs were exactly the same size: 30x32. The Lander Pants (made in Pakistan) fit great. They're even a little loose. The Silver Ridge Cargo Pants (made in Bangladesh) are so high and tight in the crotch that I'm afraid I'm going to hurt myself if I sit down in them. The waist is also very tight. If you order these pants, you might consider ordering a larger size than you would normally, especially if you are in-between sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great touring pants My husband bought two pair of these pants...tusk and grill for our recent 3 week touring trip to Europe wearing them everyday. He couldn't stop raving about the comfort, lightweight and SPF quality of these pants. They were great for touring on hot days as well as going out to dinner at night. He got a 32 waist rather than his regular 31". The lightweight fabric allowed for easy packing as well as occasional hand-washing at night. They were fully dry by morning. He particularly liked the inner zipped pockets which help secure his wallet, etc. against pick-pockets. These are his go-to travel and comfort pants. An investment well paid for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Men's Silver Ridge Cargo Pants Overall a good product in terms of quality. However, the issue with this pants line, and its a BIG issue, is that they run extremely small if you have any type of an athletic build, particularly in the leg/butt area. I normally take a 33/34 size waist and most times i have a little extra space in a 34 waist pants. I ordered these in a 34 size and I couldnt even get them up past my thighs to buckle them and I am 6'1 205 lbs. Great pants if you have a thin build and legs like a bird, otherwise I recommend ordering these pants in a size or even two sizes bigger than your normal pants size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these pants, you will not be sorry you got them. I have 2 pairs of these pants and will soon order more. I am very warm blooded and these are great for those hot summer days fishing out of my kayak. They are light enough to still breath and when they get wet they dry out super fast. I have worn these on several moderate hiking outings and have had no issues with snagging on brush unexpectedly. My one complaint is they run a little long. I am 6'3" 285# and I wear a 42-34 pant, these are about 1/2" long on the inseam. Not a huge deal, but it will affect the life of them if they drag. Still a small inconvenience for a superior product. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Field Pants My job takes me through some serious thick forest and brush. These pants are extremely light weight and comfortable. I still routinely wear my first pair (purchased in 2013) in the field and have since bought two more colors. Although thin, the nylon ripstop holds up to constant pulls from thorns and brush. I also wear them in the winter over a wool base layer. During winter, if it's wet or windy I add waterproof rain pants but in the summer I just let them get wet and they stay comfortable and dry quickly. I've had nylon pants in the past that hang poorly and look cheap, but these hold their form well even after beating them up and washing them more than 30 times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fails to live up to your usually high standards I've owned Silver Ridge pants in the past and hoped that you had made some improvements. Sad to say, you haven't. The thing that bugs me the most about this pant is that the belt loops are not distributed in such a way that the belt holds the pant uniformly all the way around. The pant can dip/sag between some of the loops. This makes for a lousy fit and lousy look. The belt, by the way won't stay securely adjusted as to length and the snap doesn't always work consistently/easily. Fix these for me and I'll be first in line to buy a few pair. Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable coverage. I'm grateful for the reviews of these pants. My waste is a 35" measured so typically purchase 36"x34". Ordering one size up, 38"x34", like some reviews advised was great. The fit was just a bit loose but very comfortable. The lightweight material with a closer fit is not what this 59 year old was after anyway, haha. The cargo pockets don't have flaps, sleek, and won't catch on drawer pulls, airline armrests, etc. It might help to sew the cargo pocket openings maybe 3/8" at the edges so loose objects won't slip out when zippers not closed. Very comfortable in 90 degrees plus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT PANTS, VERY COOL, a little long These pants are awesome. I live in S. Louisiana and i work outdoors. My job requires me to wear long pants, which makes for an even hotter summer. These pants keep me as cool as possible considering my work conditions. They dry very quickly. The only issue I have with the pants is that they run a bit long. I normally wear a 32" inseam...had to return my original order for a 30" inseam and they still a touch too long. When they are wet, the material stretches, which makes them WAY TOO LONG. I end up having to roll the bottoms to avoid constantly stepping on the pants with my heels. Other than that, the pants are absolutely awesome.
