[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are great. I prefer them over the ROC Lite short because they are less prone to wrinkling and have a drawstring so I don't need a belt. The ripstop like, grid material won't work for everyone in social situations but its fine for me and the material is excellent for high output activities. I just wish these came in a 28" waist. The 30" waist is huge on me so I have to cinch the drawstring down which makes the material at the waist bunch up (I'm a 5'5", 130 lbs guy). The only other improvement I could think of would be to add a similar comfort waistband to the one found on the ROC series.

Got a stain on my previous version while traveling. I was hoping to replace them, but this version does not get the job done. Love the drawstring.

Bring back he previous model. They took something that was very good and made it mediocre. Previous style was more comfortable and more useable. This seems to be a trend with Columbia lately. Used to be the only brand of shorts and shirts that I’d buy. Their cost cutting efforts have affected the quality of their products. This has caused me to look elsewhere for my shorts, thank goodness I was able to find a brand and style to replace Columbia.

Unfortunately can’t wear them. Seem like they could be a great short but run super small. I ordered a 32in and they fit like a 30in. In the same order had another model in a 32 and fit perfect.
