I have wide feet and often even so-called wide shoes are not comfortable because either toebox or center of the shoe presses in on my foot. I wore these boots around the house for 1 day to test them out, then next day went on a mile hike with elevation and standing water sections. No breaking in was required on first hike and kept my feet 100% dry. Highly reccomend.

Terrible Shoes. Do Not Buy

If I could put 0 stars, I would. I bought these shoes for a vacation to Acadia national park in Maine. I did moderate trails and even regular walking trails and after all that, my ankles were throbbing. The shoes were not secure no matter how many times I adjusted them, the material kept rubbing against my ankles causing them to swell, the laces kept falling/undoing, and I kept tripping over them. Quite possibly the least supportive and effective shoe to buy. If I could return them I would.
