Perfect Fit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had to buy new hiking boots in years and though it would take lots of tries to find the right boots. I put these on and was immediately sold on how comfortable they were and how perfectly they fit. I haven't had the chance to take them out on a trail yet, but they have been great for a couple of walks in town so far to start to break them in. I love the color, too. Looking forward to taking them out for a real hike soon.

Please Bring Back Wide Width!

This is the ONLY pair of wide-width hiking boots I've found that fits my feet. I love them so much! They accommodate my custom orthotic inserts and keep my feet dry. Please bring back wide options!

Well Done, Columbia!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “O” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break-in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I’m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.
