All in all, the shorts aren't quite the balance ofcomfort and performance I've come to expect from Columbia. These shorts are well constructed, I have no doubt that they'll last a long time. The cut is very form fitting, but it has a good amount of stretch to it. I ordered a size 8, but the waistband size is about the same as a size 6 pair of Columbia shorts I own. The fabric looks really similar to men's swimwear, it's very shiny and slick, and not as soft as previous Columbia shorts I've purchased. The waistband shifts back and forth on my waist frequently as I walk, which gets really uncomfortable.
