Returned this boot. Disappointed in our last two purchases of winter boots from Columbia. The first (a different pair than this one but similar in looks) we bought for our child, and after some wear, she was always waking on the side of the boots, as if they'd buckled under her. At the time, I thought it was something she'd caused. However, I just bought my own Columbia winter boots, the Women's Snowtrot Mid Boot, for a winter ski trip and thankfully thought to walk around my house in them as a trial before use. First, I bought 1/2 size big to ensure winter socks/liners would fit inside for warmth, but I could not fit these on right with thick socks at all. There was maybe too much insulation on the upper boot so you could not get a thick sock into them properly. The biggest issue was that almost immediately, the shoe began to buckle where the puffy upper meets the sole, so that I felt like I was walking on the side of the boot. Which made me realize that we probably had our daughter walking all winter in ill-fitting boots. Overall, I returned them. I need a winter boot that is durable for outdoor winter and winter sports use, not a fashion boot. Additionally, the outer sole did not appear to have good traction.

I was SO excited to find these boots. Plain black, warm, not too tall. Just a simple winter boot for everyday use. I ordered a size up because I heard they ran a little small. Even with a bigger size... I can't even put my foot in! Like how does this even work? When I hold them up to my foot they are too big but the ankle opening is not big enough to allow your foot to slip through. How in the world did this past quality control? I see other people are mentioning the same thing. So bizarre.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got these boots and really like them - with the massive amount of reviews saying they ran very small, I ordered one size up (usually wear an 8, ordered a 9). Unfortunately, I should have gotten my normal size because they are big on me. I have narrow and flat feet, so if that’s your situation as well, you probably don’t need to size up. They were extremely easy to to get on and my heels slip out when I walk, so I doubt sizing down to the 8 would have made any big difference there. Other than that, they are comfortable and warm! I’m planning to mostly use them for dog walks and dog park, so don’t mind if they’re a bit big. I’ll just buy some extra thick socks and make it work!

These are very hard to get on. The fabric doesn’t give much. I had to get a 12-16 inch shoe horn to use to get these on. Once I got my foot down in them they were comfortable. The zipper kept getting caught on the fabric. Other that that they’re nice boots.

I ordered these online so wasn’t able to try on in store. I’m a true size 8 medium in ladies shoes which is what I ordered. I got these today and couldn’t wait to try these on. I can’t even get my foot in the boots. I thought they sent the wrong size but the box and tag in boot said 8 M. There is no give in the fabric. The zipper was hard to unzip. Still once I got it down I couldn’t get my foot down in the boots. These are so cute and they look to keep you foot warm but sadly I’m sending these back.
