Great Tent But Issue With Fiberglass Poles

This was an awesome tent, very large and roomy. The set up was not bad but uses the standard way of setting up with poles. As we started to insert the poles my kids and I started to feel like we were getting splinters, and there were hundreds of tiny little fiberglass splinters throughout all of our hands. They were tiny, so almost impossible to get out and some were pretty painful. Not sure if this was just a batch error or if anyone else has experienced this but it’s definitely something that people need to be aware of. I let the Core help people know about this issue and they are looking into it. Our preference is the instant pop up tents, just wish they had this shape and high walls like this cabin tent does.

Excellent Summer Cabin

These tents are great for the cost and have become our oasis over the past 5 yrs. We use or tents from mid-June through the end of October and they hold up well to the constant UV exposure, wind, and weather. The overhang is not interchangeable with both doors as it was in last years model, so you don't get a choice where the overhang goes. The single doo is also more user friendly. The rainfly does keep the weather out, but it would be helpful if the drip-edge extended beyond the tent footprint. This is tent number 4 and we have not had any bottom rips, no broken zippers, and the poles held up very well. I would recommend upgrading to some plastic stakes for additional security in soft soils.
