For Runners Only

The watch itself is lightweight. I have trouble getting the charger to connect completely. Sometimes I'll connect, it'll say it's charging, and when I come back later it wasn't actually charging and has died. I have to mess with the connection for a few minutes to get it to charge. Luckily the battery lasts for a couple weeks so I don't have to deal with this much. I'm an average person, not an elite athlete, and I do multiple sports. The workout analysis is pretty spot-on (aside from the Coros-specific algorithm, which I'll address later). The metrics and tracking work well, sleep tracking works well, etc. It's easy to read and customize the view workouts, though it's not intuitive to find where to make that customization. The watch interface isn't stellar, but it's certainly fine. The face of the watch is tough to get to appear the way I want it to, but for the price that's fine with me. I do wish there were more bands so I didn't always feel like a sporty bro. But again, for the price that's fine. Adding custom workouts and sports is possible but clunky, and it has to be done online. My biggest issue is with the app - specifically the Coros algorithms. This watch is really ONLY for runners, despite the many sports they say they accommodate. In the app and on the watch, they show you their calculated training load and effort, which are built for runners. Can't run because you have an injury? Well, Coros will tell you after every workout that you're not working hard enough. As someone who is injured precisely because I've pushed myself too hard, this is a dangerous metric for me. If I look at my workouts in another app, I'm pleased with the results. But I have to open the Coros app to sync, and there are those low numbers and "Inefficient" staring at me. I don't like it. If you're someone who can repeatedly see very low marks and not feel like your watch is telling you every day that you're not good enough, maybe this is totally fine for you. Personally, if I knew this before I bought the watch I would have bought a Garmin instead. Coros is not for me.

The "Field Watch" Of Gps Sport Watches

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely useful for such a minimalist design with a robust battery life. Lightweight, low profile yet it has an incredible battery life with pinpoint GNSS accuracy delivered by a chipset that supports dual band satellite fixes. The Coros app by far is the best making route building and reviewing post work metrics easier than ever. Additionally, app doubles as either an interactive topo map during activities like hiking or trail running, but on indoor activities like spinning or treadmill running the app becomes real-time stat screen that is customizable by the user. The generation of Coros watches: Pace 3 and Pace Pro really deliver substantive features that are insightful to improving and refrains from producing questionable gimmicks like “wellness” metrics that have never been validated by a third party or university researchers. Plus Coros (and Apple) are probably the only company(ies) that are delivering routine updates & upgrades to their previous gen devices so you are not constantly compelled to buy the latest generation. Plus Coros releases model of a series every 3 years.
