I held off on the Allpa up until the new one came out and I heard how people were liking the upgraded features. I knew what I liked as a full time traveler, but I had time before I could upgrade my gear. So I waited and read all the reviews of people putting them to use. The trade offs for a lighter weight pack don’t bother me (such as the non-padded grab handles)! -The water bottle pocket does not affect the capacity of the main compartment or vice versa. Well done! -The luggage pass through is thin but durable and effective. I much prefer the luggage pass-throughs with the bag sitting on its side, which this one does. -The laptop sleeve protects my iPad very well, and helps keep the weight distributed evenly unlike my old 40L pack which had the laptop sleeve on the front. If I need to move it to my daypack or remove it airport security, it’s easy to access and move. -The straps fit me perfectly as a 5’7” person, and the comfort is just enough without being too bulky. The padded air mesh is a hit! -I travel full-time and carry on trains, planes, busses, scooters, cars, etc, so the bag has to be durable. In my first trip with this pack it got thrown around by someone else very carelessly, and the bag and gear inside held up beautifully! I can vouch for the durability of the new recycled material. I am amazed at how much I can pack in this 35L! I can pack more in the 35L than my 40L Fairview due to the shape, layout, and most pockets having their own/expandable capacity. Very pleased with my new pack!
