I recently received my Cielo women’s rain jacket. I ordered a size up with hopes of a bit more room for layering and ease. Unfortunately, the jacket did not prove to fit as I’d hoped - and in fact, the fit is quite snug despite being listed as several dress sizes larger than I wear. I have a hooded down jacket from Cotopaxi in the same numerical size, that does have the extra room I was seeking for layering. The rain jacket is beautifully constructed, of clear quality - but the fit is disappointing. It’s difficult to find outdoor clothing and outerwear as a larger person - I was thrilled to see that Cotopaxi offers extended sizing. Unfortunately, I ordered the largest size they carry, and there isn’t the option to simply exchange for the next size up. I would recommend reevaluating the design of the cielo for plus sized folks - there are a myriad of smaller sizes for folks to choose should they desire to size down for a snug/streamlined fit - but functionality in the outdoors includes the ability to layer under waterproof outer layers - please consider aligning the sizing of this jacket with the dimensions and roominess of your other designs.
