I bought this gun about 3 years ago and it still shoots well. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this BB gun about a month ago. Haven’t had any issues but it feels a bit cheap with the plastic components. I expected more mood and metal and it to feel more solid. I feel if I were to drop it or it would fall it would easily break. But I guess that’s how they keep it lightweight. Otherwise shoots well, and pretty accurately on target. I have not attached the scope or used it yet.

I had one of these in 1975 and loved it. Today, I recommended it for my Grandson and when they brought it to me, I was ashamed of myself for recommending it. What a shock from what I remembered. The mechanical performance was very poor, the BB magazine would not load without prying it open. It is just a cheap piece of junk. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS GUN TO ANYONE. I will be looking for a replacement.

Just bought 2 air rifles, this 760 pumpmaster and a $17 daisy 105b (smallest cheapest BB gun 300fps). The 105 is a much better gun then the 760. Yes the 760 can be pumped multiple times to achieve a claimee 650-700fps, if it works right which 9 out of 10 times doesn't seem to. Mine was broke out of the box. The stock has a bb fill, whether heat welded or glued, whichever , it simply fell off nor does the trap even spin open on that cap that fell off. So now duct tape holds it on. This whole thing except the barrel and compression/spring chamber is plastic, and brittle crap plastic at that. NOT the same material as other synthetic stocks. Barrel site accuracy is good and traditional simple type, tried and true. Size is next step up from the 105b daisy buck, so I would guestimate ok for 9 & 10 year olds. I would NOT buy this gun again. I love the 105b my 8 year old uses and is perfect for a beginner. As an adult I would buy the $60-$70 winchester1100s/daisy1101s break barrel .177 pellet for varmint and targets over this each and every time. Besides the HORRIBLE plastic used, the main issue is the compression is inconsistent. Sometimes it feels as if it fires with absolute minimal that one gets from just sliding the bolt out and in. Their maybe a seal or locking issue, but I feel the spring pressure even when it doesn't discharge well. Fortunately crosman is a decent brand and has offered to replace or credit toward another model, a process I am still awaiting resolution in. I gave this 2 stars because 1 star is absolute worse and i feel there could be worse guns, although I haven't found one yet. This is the worse built BB I have experienced.

So the accuracy and technical workmanship is good. The problem is that you have to load the BBS, turn it upside down and shake it for a few BBS to go into the loading chamber, which is very hard for a child to do.
