Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review & Great Tips Very nice pellet rifle!Do NOT lubricate with WD40! This will make the rifle not hold air. The pump cup will need to be lubricated with pellgunoil or red automatic transmission fluid (ATF) to make the gun hold air, but the pump cup and valve assembly may need to be replaced to make the gun hold air if lubricated with WD40.Red ATF works as a good substitute for Crosman pellgunoil. Other reviewers prefer pellgunoil.Customer service is excellent. Parts can be ordered by calling Crosman directly. You will get the correct parts for your gun because they ask for the serial number of your gun. This rifle also works well as a bug gun. Are horse flies ruining your backyard or pool fun? Simply cycle the bolt and put 2 or 3 pinches of sea salt down the barrel, then pump it 10 times. You will be able to take out horse flies from 15+ feet away!I have also used this rifle to teach new gun users how to use guns safely. The basics of trigger-finger control and respect for all firearms can be taught very effectively with this rifle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job! I bought this because we are overrun with chipmunks who have decided that the great outdoors alone no longer suits them. We have been invaded twice so far! This means war! They are VERY small targets but this scope and gun do the trick. Considering the low price of this gun, the optics work very well. You will, however, need to sight the gun in; out of the box, it shoots high and wide. Once sighted, the break-in period, amazingly, was 50 shots, and has remained true. Note well, that accuracy is absolutely dependent on using Crosman pellets; this baby does NOT like your competitors' ammo. Powerful, easy to cock, fun to shoot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too impressed! I just bought this for my 11 yr old son and I've sat here for 2 hrs trying to site the gun in. I would move it and it would shoot to the lower right. I'd move it again, shoot, move again, shoot and it never moved where the bullseye was where I was shooting. I messed with it for so long and had had enough. I know I have a really good shot, so I took the sites off, aimed at the bullseye...nailed it. The site stinks on this thing. It does get jammed a lot. My son doesn't want it anymore because he wants one with a scope that actually works. The pump is even hard for me to pump sometimes and is very hard for him. This momma is sad that her son isn't happy with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I had one as a kid so I thought I would get one for old time's sake. Unfortunately I immediately ran into some issues. No matter how much I ightened the scores, the scope just wouldn't stay in place. Also after only 15-20 shots the gun completely list it's power regardless of the number of pumps I gave it. Overall, I'm disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tons Of Fun Got the scope zeroed with about 50 shots. BBs are pointless for accuracy, use Pellets for best results. After scope zeroed in, I was hitting a tennis ball consistently from about 40-50 yards. Mind you get what you pay for but just wanted something for entertainment, and it does the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very, Very, Inconsistent!! I bought this gun 2 weeks ago, to teach them how / shoot with my kids. I owned one of the classic 760's back when I was a kid between 1977 - 1980; I could hit practically anything I aimed at. Thinking that this newer 760 was just as accurate, I purchased it. HOWEVER, this newer 760 accuracy is TERRIBLE! Me and two of my brothers whom I know can shoot. COULD-NOT hit a target (aluminum can & paper targets) more than once each at 15 yrds after shooting approx 30 times each. I took it back after about 3 days. I feel that Crosman has really let down it's customers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Front sight The front sight fell off and is now gone. That should not happen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Total waste of money I bought this gun less than a month ago. My son and I were able to enjoy it for two days. It is almost impossible to chamber a BB. I have pumped it, loaded the BB's, shook it, pointed it downward, unloaded and reloaded the BB's to no avail. The magnet is fine, because I can manually put a BB on it with a set of tweezers but who wants to do that every time they want to shoot? I would be better off with a slingshot. If I hadn't thrown the box away, I would return this gun.
