Nice Starter

Great budget rod that is awesome for anything thatll bite. I use 20lb braid to a 6lb leader and catch bluegill, bass, and crappie with it. Has also held up against some huge stick fish

I bought this a year ago for bluegill fishing and it works great. End of july went fishing and found lots of shad, casted out with a cut shad and caught a 7.7 poind channel cat. 6 minute fight and this rod held up like a beast in the light version!!!

Better Than My Pen Wrath

I received this combo 13 years ago when I was 5 as a gift it was taken to salt water and never washed and 13 years later I’ve caught snook giant bass jumped tarpon and has never given me a problem It out lasted my Penn wrath 12 times over it’s been buttery smooth since I’ve got it and I’ve greased it once genuinely one of the best reels I’ve ever owned and I recommend it over and over again the 1500 size cast really nicely with 15 pound yo zuri braid and is all worth the cheap price
