Nice Fit And Design, But...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are my second set of Danner's, I really like the design and fit, seems that the soles will last longer than most. Wanted a midnight boot to go with th low hiking shoe. Seems to need some breaking in so I started to use them while walking the dog. Feels great but oh the squeaking of the shoe! I don't think I can used to the squeak if doesn't go away after more of a break in period. Such a shame, I found a good fitting boot that I like.

Not The Most Comfortable Danners I Have Worn.

The lacing system only has one open loop when three would be good. The laces are to short and can bearly make a bow. I like to wear my boots snug but I'm not able to tug on the flimsy laces without fear of breaking them.

Left Boot Squeaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th pair of these boots over the last 12 years. I have used them extensively in Nepal while doing The Great Himalayan Trail. Unfortunately there is a problem with the left boot sole that causes it to constantly squeak. I'd read this had been an issue with other customers but had so much luck in the past I ordered them anyway. Unbeknownst to me my wife picked up a pair also. Her left boot squeaks even worse then mine. Incredibly irritating.

Still A Good Boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 10th pair of Danners I've had over the years. They've all been comfortable to wear right out of box till this pair. I've had to wear them with the laces loose for a month before they were broken in. This is the first pair that squeak! They still sqeak after break in. Not a big deal because I work in a noisy environ. Hopefully the squeak stops soon!

Squeaker Than Rusty Door Hinge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have put about 70 miles on rock and dirt trails with some incline and decline on these boots. No complaints. Run true to my shoe size. Break-in was minimal. Seem put together well, but this is a 70 miles of use review. Hopefully, I can say "built well" in a few hundred miles. I suspect I will. Water proof has only been tested in shallow creek crossings and in dew wet knee high grass. No downpours yet. So far so good on water proofness. The tongue does squeak where it is under the tied lace, but a dab of Vaseline or Chapstick (a dab) puts the squeak to rest for several wearings.
