[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boot was great right out of the box! Ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly. Not heavy at all. Bit stiff, but not bad. Would try to break in a bit before long hike. Super great boots!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m on my feet all day long between job sites. Not only does this book give you the support you need, it does so without sacrificing comfort and practicality. Bonus is it’s a great looking boot. Many compliments!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still in the break in period. They were very comfortable right out of the box, no issues with the tongue as I saw in some other reviews, little bit of rubbing above my heel, just need to condition more to soften up a bit. Look great (gotta be a little vain) and seem like they will be great on the trail. Planning to update after some summer camping trips. They are expensive but I'm confident they pay for themselves over burning through multiple pairs of cheaper boots over the next couple decades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are a very nice boot. But the leather is thinner than I expected. So my only concern is how they are going to last long term. That is why I gave them 4 stars. But only time will really tell.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these boots to replace another hiking pair. These are definitely more durable. Takes a minute to break in and get boot tongue in right spot, but worth the effort! Helps keep me up to speed walking trails with my active dog! Recommend for sure! Green laces make the boot! The details!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own other Danners and have loved them. I really wanted a recraftable hiking/hunting boot. I wear a size 12 normal width. I used the sizing tool on Danners website and they recommended sticking with normal width. These were extremely narrow on my foot, especially in the toe box. I’ve read the break in can be painful but I knew immediately these would never craft to my foot. I’d imagine their wide EE fits like a normal width. Ankle support wasn’t great either. Unfortunately had to send them back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great boots. They run a bit narrow so I would go up a size or get the EE width. Other than that they are built solid, They take a while to break in, but I usually equate that with a quality set of boots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a second pair so I have "nice" ones as my old pair are pretty beat up from daily wear the last five years. Just re-soled them for the third time. Ready for another 1000 miles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had these boots for more than 3 years now - they've been in the snow, desert, mountains, mud, water, etc. They're not quite as waterproof as they once were, but they are as comfortable as ever. The only downside really, is the weight. I'll wear something lighter in the summer months if I can, but I always have these boots with me, just in case. I have put many miles on them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these boots about a month ago and haven’t yet taken them out in a serious hiking setting – I’ve only worn them around the city. That being the case, this review is based on first impressions. In Nike and in Brooks running shoes, I’m a US size 9.5, but I settled on a US size 9, regular width, for the boots, based on Danner’s advice that sizing runs true to the Braddock Device. I don’t feel I any toe bump and the size should be fine for normal- to medium-thickness socks. (To use extremely thick socks, I would probably have to step up to a size 9.5.) I often experience foot pain in the minor arch of my left foot, and I am pleased to report that I haven’t felt this pain in these boots, despite using no arch supports. I think this is attributable to the stiff sole. The materials of the boots are nice and the sole can be refreshed once it’s worn out. In a nutshell, my first impressions are favorable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tired of buying hiking footwear that was more gimmicky than quality…. And designed for limited usefulness. These are well built and are designed to be be worn and repaired when the time comes. The price is steep but these are made to actually last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thick leather, nice color, a tad heavy. There is a seam that chafes me across on of my Achille’s tendons. I hope I don’t have to rig up my heel with moleskin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these about a month ago, and started wearing them around the house and around the yard as I worked from home to break them in. I used some clear Danner leather conditioner on them as well to help the break in process along. After two weeks of doing this, I decided it was time to put them to the test. I hiked up and down a 3,000 ft mountain near where I live! Fortunately for me, these things felt like 4 wheel drive knobbies for my feet braaap braaap! The trail was 2.5 miles of straight up with lots of rocks and roots and my feet stayed comfy all the way up and down. Usually I’m a 12.5 in Hokas, but I went with 13 D in these boots, and I had just enough room so they were comfy with no toe bang on the down slopes. The only complaint I have is that the tongues are tricky to lay properly on the tops of my feet as the leather isn’t really broken in enough yet. When I tuck them right, I don’t feel any discomfort, but other times the tongue bunches up weird and pinched against the top of my feet. I’m hoping this will go away the more I wear them. Overall though these are great boots and I think I’ll use them for hiking/bar hopping/yard work for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great boots. Took a few weeks to break them in (as expected). Don’t start out a trip with these brand new. Plenty of support and toe protection. Solid, hefty footfalls. Maybe not the best if you need to do a lot of leaping and frolicking with great agility.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the most amazing boots I owned - they are waterproof (the tongue folds in), sturdy, very comfy and look great. AND they are made in USA!
