Couldn't Use It Day One

I bought this tube for a weekend getaway that included play time at the river. No where on the box did it say that you needed a special attachment to inflate it. So, we are at the river, with no float to enjoy, because we couldn't pump the tube with air. I should have read the reviews, because several others mentioned that you needed a Boston valve attachment.
