Impossible To Tighten Enough, And Carrying Bag Is Garbage

Impossible to tighten enough. These were recommended by a salesman in the store, and he fitted the kid. I specifically asked for help in choosing the best fitting skates. Once we got to the first skating lesson, however, they were so loose over the top of the foot and around the ankle that they were impossible to use. Not tight enough to support the ankle at all. Even tried exchanging for a size down, same problem, even with really thick socks. Kid’s shoe size is 13.5, for reference. Ended up having to buy a pair with laces, as you can actually adjust those tight enough. Total waste of money (for the skates and the two wasted lessons) and clearly the sales guy didn’t really know how to fit a skate. The elbow and knee pads are ok. The carrying bag, however, developed a hole the first use.
