Comfortable But Fragile
Comfortable but they break too easily. Knee pad tore off the left one the fourth time I took it out. Won’t be purchasing another pair.

To small-framed people with thicker legs: I'm 5'3'' 135 lbs with muscular legs. I've read too many reviews of women's legs suffocating from the knee pads in the combo protective gear packs. I bought these separately and I'm very satisfied with the product. I'm able to wear these pads with the top strap about halfway velcroed and the bottom strap maybe 3/4 velcroed. They're a little bulky, but I'm able to maneuver on skates to the point where I forget I'm wearing the pads. The only thing about buying the knee pads and wrist guards a la carte is that Dick's doesn't sell elbow pads outside of the set, so I'm still on the hunt for those.

Solid Kneepads
My 9 y/o son chose these kneepads in his new scootering effort. The velcro hasn't lost it's stick like others. The shell on the kneecaps give enough space to bend and be comfortable and it looks like he'll be able to grow into them. These are pretty solid kneepads. Can't go wrong with these

Slips Off Your Leg! Do Not Buy!
I got this kneepad to practice rollerskating and since they were relatively cheap (and had a picture of a rollerblader) I thought they would be fine. Unfortunately, these things have been sliding off my legs ever since I bought them. I would tighten them as much as possible but whenever I fell they would slide down. I never would have expected them to slide off my knee. I highly recommend the more pricey kneepad that you can slide on and strap.
