Keep score like the old days when your Dad taught you how to score a ballgame. Nothing beats the old paper and pencil, and it's terrible how technology is ruining this. An absolute must to know for baseball and I believe gives you more understanding for the game. Dads, teach your kids how to do this

This is perfect to record softball games! There is plenty of space to write in it.

I am new to baseball scorekeeping, but this is the best scorebook I have found in my search for one that has enough player spaces for a Little League team with more than 9 hitters. Even with 16 hitter rows, the at-bat boxes are actually big enough to be read easily. In other scorebooks I have seen, the basepath boxes are so small that it would be hard to record play details easily. The printing on the page is very clear and easy to read. The instructions and samples in the beginning of the book are useful. There are pitch count columns for 5 pitchers on each page, as well as space for pitcher statistics. The book does not allow for extra innings, as there are only 9 inning columns on each page, but the Little League games I will be using this book for usually only go to 6 innings, so that is not an issue for my purpose. There are 4 columns for hitting statistics, which covers only the basics. It would be nice if there were additional columns for more statistics, but again at the Little League level, that would probably be overkill. If you want to use this book for true side-by-side scoring, you will need to waste the first and last pages of the book. The first page of the book as DSG advertising on one side and the instructions and samples on the other side. So, the first blank scoring page is on the right with no blank scoring page to the left. That's a minor issue, and so far, I have used the book sitting in the bleachers and sitting on a lawn chair, so it was easier to not do side-by-side scoring since I was not sitting at a table with the book open in front of me. The book is a great value at $7.99 as the higher end books I considered were at least nearly 3 times this amount and didn't have the same clarity and readability of the at-bat boxes.
