[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the dragons! They’re super ergonomic (more so than the camalots) so the lack of a thumb loop doesn’t bother me. Stronger than other brands and the extendable sling is great! Super bomber.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great cams, although the enxtendo sling is a bit funky if you pull from the not-tab side, it can get caught on the aluminum housing. Something to keep in mind (and the new Friends have a similar design but with a thumb loop. they are easier to pull either side of the sling with). I don't mind the lack of a thumb loop, but be careful placing these guys deep as the thumb loop can removal of deep cams.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love dragon cams. Solid, reliable, wide cam range, convenient extendable sling built in. For the normal sizes they are my go-to. However, for the monster sized cams, like the 6/7/8, the BD camalots have one feature that make them more convenient: a little spring clip to hold the cam open. These size cams are wiiiiiide, so holding them open actually makes them more compact and less awkward on your harness. Aside from that, they're awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a couple of these as doubles to my rack of c4s and z4s. I really like the BDs however i think ive fallen in love with the dmms! Out of the box they just look more confidence inspiring! The lobes are grooved in two directions, the body is well machined, they have the extendable sling, the action is smooth and fluid. They take a minute to get used to placing if you're accustom to other brands but only a minute! The colors are cool also!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I now have these ranging from .5-2 in BD sizing. They are by far the highest quality cams I own. The trigger bar is contoured perfectly and the plastic feels amazing. I’ve never gotten a cam with defects or sub par quality. ( Recently I’ve gotten 2 C4’s with quality issues from the factory.) They grip better than my C4’s and new WC friends by far. Feel much more confident placing them. Although they are in reality a similar length stem to C4’s, they do feel somewhat shorter when placing in deep placements. You won’t believe the lobe grip till you try one. Honestly I feel great climbing above my C4’s, WC’s, Mastercams, and aliens, but these cams just have a noticeably better attention to detail with manufacturing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great piece of gear. A little shorter then the Camelot's but the extendable sling makes up for it. Easy to place, easy to clean, sturdy as hell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used it all, I suggest that DMM and Wild Country have always done a better job with cams than Black Diamond or anyone else. These dragons are exquisitely machine/finished and clearly over-designed. The newest DMM Dragons are superb and extremely light. (The old three-cam DMM's were fantastic and sadly discontinued.) Anyway, given the choice, buying a bunch of cams, I would pick DMM over WC but only by a small margin. Sling: A lot is made of the doubled extendable sling but this doesn't do a whole lot apart from make the sling really strong. (Runners are really the right answer.) The Dragon's strength is the range of the cam and the range established by an entire set - tips to OW. I also like that the Dragon set has slightly more overlap between size increments than does the WC Friend. They're not cheap and you're getting the best for that investment. Recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently I lost a few cams on the wall and needed a replacement. It has been a while I thought of the Dragons so I decided to buy two. Red and Yellow. It was a love from first sight. They are light, very comfortable in hand, the sling is easy to manipulate. They have great grip on the rock. Get them and they will become your best cams ever. I plan on getting a full set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this piece of gear for a good while and stuck it in plenty of those of cracks. DMM makes the grippiest cams out there. I'm always confident in the placement and the extension with the sling is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great cams! The extendable sling is convenient so that quickdraws aren't needed, but if it's too far, you'll still need an alpine draw/sling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been slowly growing my set of Dragon 2s and building my trad rack. I picked the Dragon 2s mostly because of the extendable slings and the light weight. The slings are easy to extend as long once you get used to it, the triggers are crisp and positive feeling, and I've never felt the need to have a thumb loop with them. I have lots of trust in them and think they make a great first set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a single rack of BD C4s/X4s. But love these as a double because of the extendible sling. It is great for anchors because I can choose to extend the sling to get a little extra out of it.
