Warm Commpression Shorts

I bought these with the idea I could wear under my sweat pants when I referee soccer with the thinking being warm legs less a chance I pull a muscle. I like them but I wish they offered some compression I have to wonder if I made a mistake by not buying a medium as my waist is a 34. Instead I got a large where the waist starts at 35. I do not regret this purchase as being warm is good.The fit is comfortable. However just wanted to caution you if compression is important ether size down or look at another product.
