The shin guards should be wider. My daughter is 3 and is super tiny. I worry I am going to break the guards because I tried to open them up a bit. The shape is very narrow and the ankle piece is too big it goes into her shoes and she cant put them on. Ended up bringing them back because they are not small enough. I would recommend if they fit your kid.
