This type of shin guard is really just for little little kids. Other than that I suggest getting shin guards that don’t have the ankle attachment.

For 9 year old summer soccer that she will grow out of in a year or so, you can’t beat them. Strap style on this not the most comfortable. If kid was older and not growing so fast, I’d definitely invest in higher quality.
