Could Have A Better Design

Bought these as my 4 year-olds first ever shin guards. It was hard to determine which size to get. Would help to have a size chart by age and weight. The shin guard inserts also did not stay on very well. they should come attached to the socks instead of as an insert. They slip and slide around under the sock.

They Work

I bought these ones because for my son because he had massive holes after using his old pair for approximately two years. We needed new ones for indoor soccer. Prior to buying these shin guards my son had the adidas ones that were the same style. I really enjoy how the shin guards are integrated with the socks and they just slide right in. There’s like a pouch on the inside front sock part. I really liked how these DSG shin guards had little cushions on the inner and outer heel. Something that the adidas ones didn’t have. I will say the pouch is a lot bigger on the DSG ones. I’m worried that my son is going to rip it by trying to jam his foot into the sock. As the first time we put them on it took me a minute to figure out why his foot wasn’t sliding all the way into the sock. Luckily, I realized that it was stuck in the pouch before any rips happened. We never had that problem with the adidas ones. However, the shin guard itself is a lot more larger than the adidas ones. Which gives more protection to the shins. I love this concept though and would highly recommend to any parent. For size reference. My son is almost 7 and wears a 2Y for shoes. I can’t recall how tall he is. I think 42-44”? We ordered a medium and they fit perfectly but also have room for him to grow until outdoor soccer season starts in the fall.
