We bought a pair of these a year ago for my daughter, who was seven at the time. She loves them because they're easier to put on than traditional shin and ankle guards, and they don't rub her skin like the velcro straps of her other shin guards. One of the old ones did get a small hole and start to "run" like pantyhose do, but after the beating they took, I think it's reasonable wear and tear. My only complaint is that I wish they came in more colors and sizes -- even the largest size is getting to be a bit small on her.
