Rated 1 out of 5 by from ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME SHIN GUARDS I bought these for my sons 8 & 10 yr olds for Christmas. Again not a good choice. I have purchased these type sock/shin guard before but ended up only using the removable shin guard with another pair of socks. These socks are very hard for an adult to assist a child putting them on. They are very tight with no stretch! If you could get the sock on these would be great. I can not easily assist my child in putting them on...needless to say it is extremely hard for my 8 & 10 yr old to put them on. The sock needs to be a little more flexible and have some give to it. The sock should conform back to the original fit after getting on the foot. I thought the new DSG ones would be a little better than the older brand. Not the case! Still hard to put on no matter the size.

They’ve worked well thus far and the socks hold them in place however the guards are hire small. I presume this is to ensure they fit into the socks, but if he takes a kick to the shin I’m not sure they’d fully block it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not consistently sized- erratic I purchased the pink and green for our B/G twins. The pink was true to size, the green was clearly the size smaller. I had lost the receipt and went to purchase a second pair of green in the accurate size in the store, and every M package was a different size, and smaller than the pink. The socks ripped after 1 wearing for both kids playing indoor soccer. These would never hold up for outdoor soccer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made! Bought a few weeks ago and my son likes them very much. The added insert that holds the shin guards in place is a very helpful addition and doesn't add much bulk to the sock. It also adds a layer that helps the shin skin breathe better than with just the guards alone against the skin.a sidenote... They do definitely shrink to the appropriate size once washed and dried so be sure to read the package and follow the correct sizing guide provided as it seems pretty accurate.
