Great If It’s Not Windy

As a bait and waiting angler, I had an issue a lot of people have. You cast your bait, wait, reel it in, and your bait is gone. But with this bell, this is a game changer, it has detects even the most subtle bites from tiny rod ticks and movements and has ultimately helped me land even small fish just picking at my bait. The bell sound is loud enough and has a distinct sound that grabs your attention, letting you know that you may have a bite. The only reason it loses a star for me is because in the wind the bell will still ring. Therefore you cannot rely on the bell in windy conditions and must pay attention to other things like drag being peeled or your rod bouncing and moving. Other than that, it’s been a major game changer.

Great For Live Bait

I run multiple rods with live bait and sometimes you need to know right away when the fish hits… This is a great tool just make sure to use it on the thicker part of the real or it will slide.

It Works But Could Be Improved

Used it for trout in a still drop, it has to be put upside down to avoid the line, it moves to 90 degree angle which helps to create more sound but still requires certain degree of fish movement to be noticed and a fast action rod.
